Creamy Macaroni and cheese

This is by far the best macaroni I have ever eaten. Thick and creamy with just the right amount of cheese. Really you could add any kind of cheese to give it different flavors. I have used gouda before and it was incredible! The method used to only pour out half the water then add in cream gives it a texture I have never tasted in any other recipe. You just have to try it for yourself!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups macaroni
  • 8 oz velveta, cubed
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup butter, unsalted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Boil pasta in water. When pasta is done leave enough water to cover macaroni and take off of heat. Add in your cream and stir. Then add in your cheeses. Stir until completely combined. This will thicken as it cools, so you can't keep it heated on low. If you macaroni becomes too thick add a little milk.
