Old Fashion Butter Pound Cake

  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter soft
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 flour all-flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3/4 milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder


  • Heat oven 350. Using two loaf pans, place unbleached parchment paper inside. This is easy clean up!
    Beat sugar, butter, vanilla and eggs for 4 minutes on high.
    Add remaining ingredients and beat on low until completely mixed.
    Pour into pans.
    Bake 55-60 minutes or until golden brown on top.
    Sprinkle the top with powder sugar and serve plain or with fruit preserves, jams or jelly's.
